← Admiral Swansea Bay 10k
My first time at Swansea Bay 10k today. Even though the weather was horrid the atmosphere was great. Easy to find & park, expect a 10 min walk from parking to event though (not a problem as it gave time to warm up!).
Bibs came through the post with a voucher for you to collect your T-shirt. Plenty of email information and interactive course maps sent beforehand.
Plenty of runners and spectators today.
The route takes you out of Swansea to mumbles, then you turn back on yourself to run along the seafront, so you get fantastic views of Swansea Bay and the lovely smell of the sea too.
Plenty of toilets, clean & with loo roll. Didn’t queue for long either.
The route is very flat, so great for a PB potential. Lots of Marshalls out on the route and the course was well signposted too. Only downside for me was the water stop at the 5k mark was on the seafront, so lots of water bottles not being thrown into the bins provided and being thrown to the floor where they were dropping over the edge into the sea.
Lovely finish line atmosphere with the compere calling our your names as you crossed the line. Medal is ok and nice finisher T-shirt (of which they had plenty). I’ll certainly do this race again!
