Registration and parking was easy. The race briefing was fairly poor and difficult to hear; 300 runners and the speaker was not loud enough. The ultra joined the half marathon and marathon routes after 4 miles for marathon and as such the aid station were not the usual ‘ultra’ standard. Plenty of water and squash but felt more like water stations rather than the usual aid station feel. That said there were three stations that had fruit and the usual offerings. The route on the whole
Was good but there was too many sections running through residential areas on concrete rather than the advertised trails. The last section of the event you are running through the city centre dodging the crowds. Not the worst but not the best event.
