← Hever Castle Festival of Endurance - Triathlon Series
The Bastion is billed as one of the toughest iron distance races in the UK and it delivered.
The race starts at Hever Castle lake which is a simply stunning location. The river section is brilliant it creates a bit of a bottle neck which brings all the swimmers together making it fun and more of an intense race.
The bike course is the toughest thing I have ever done. The climbs hurt but were achievable and the downhills exhilirating.
The XC marathon run is well marshalled and scenery is stunning. There is a real buzz to the place and I would recommend this race to anyone wanting a real challenge. Toughest thing I've ever done but I loved it!
Although the event is brutal the castle triathlon team who organise the race are so friendly and helpful and go out their way to make sure you're well looked after.
