← Evesham Town 10km

My first time at this event and overall I would say that it is a very good race and I would definitely do it again.

Race registration was separate from the start which is fine however, if I was not fairly local to the area I would have had no clue as to where the start was as there was no clear direction. Race reg closed at 8.45 and race started at 9.30. The start wasn't put up until 15 mins or so before the race which left people milling about unsure where they were supposed to be.

And we were off! Once you got going it was great. The marshalls were amazing - so friendly and encouraging. There were 2 water stations (well one but it was a loop) and the great thing is that they were using compostable cups. There were plenty of bin bags around so that you didn't have to chuck your cup on the floor although most people did anyway.
The route was vert clearly marked with km signs every km. It was pleasant allowing me to see lovely parts of the town that I wouldn't usually go through so exploring is always good!

There is a wee hill near the end which is small but sharp which takes your breath away - almost done.

The finish is organsised will with water and sponges so that you can drench yourself on the warm sunny day that it was. Medals are handed out along with finishers bags ( a bag, banana and oh so many leaflets). The medals are nice and the chocolate muffins delicious!

Great course for a PB!
