This is my second Race To and my first time at Kings.
Yet again I found not wanting for anything (well except a swimming pool at base camp🤣🤣).
I found the people on course to be friendly and helpful with everyone looking out for each other. I was lucky to spend 2 days racing with people I had never met and had a great time helping each other get to the finish line.
Each aid station was well stocked and it seemed to be a competition of which one could be the best so it was a win win,
At base camp the only thing I would have liked was a tent not on a small slope and to be a bit more comfortable. This is nothing to take away from the half time massage, bar and food not to mention the hot shower.
Day 2 was an early start and on the road by 6, the bags had been dropped off to meet me at the finish line and my backpack was ready to go.
Yes the course has hill, yes I did walk but most importantly I got to that finish line in one piece and one happy little boy.
A small negative was the lack of pictures taken on course compared to RTTT last year and the upload to Facebook was poor, but this should not take away from a great weekend running.
