← Weald Challenge 50km Ultra Trail
This was my 3rd year running this lovely local 50k trail race. It is a small event but it is superbly organised and this year I was joined by other #visorclub members Kempy, Rick and Whiffers.
The route starts and finishes at a school so logistics including registration, parking and bag drop all very simple. It is a lovely route through fields and farms and taking in large parts of Ashdown Forest. The course is mainly off-road, it is brilliantly marked out and marshalled and there are well stocked aid stations every 6 miles or so. It has an 8 hour time limit and would definitely recommend this as a good first ultra.
The medal is lovely and you also receive one of their famous handmade finishers mugs. Conditions this year were perfect and I was happy to complete the course in 5hrs 50. I will definitely be back again in 2020.
