The course is a bit different. Starts on a field, then you run general on a gravel trail with some pathways. There is an up and down hill at the beginning then again at the end which keeps it interesting but the rest of the course is very flat so it’s possible to get some decent times.
Only one water station which is at the 5k point, this is also where you turn around so can get a little congested if your amongst the pack.
Some of the sections are a little narrow and your reliant on the public giving way for you which to be fair they did, but I’m sure they’ll be some ppl that won’t be as helpful. Finishing back on the field was also good!
There didn’t seem to be a clock at the finish line? Perhaps I missed this?
Parking was excellent, easy to get to, facilities was good, plenty of toilets and a bar to visit after.
There bag drop wasn’t secure, it was a room where you left your bag but it wasn’t looked after, nor did you attach your number to your bag like in other events so always a possibility of it being stolen!
I’ll definitely return next year, it’s a fairly fast course and if your bored of the same old road runs or park runs this offers excellent variety but just be aware going in that there are some narrow sections and gravel paths! Highly recommend though!
