← Stone 5 Mile

I took part in this race for the first time in 2018 and could not wait to sign up again for 2019. The atmosphere was first class and the sunny weather made it an evening race to remember. Such a lovely location and unique course which really puts a test to your fitness as it’s a short but incredibly hilly race.

The buffet provided was far beyond my expections of a couple of sandwiches and crisps but a full long table full of different types of foods you’d be quite happy to have at at wedding reception.

Added to this is even a medal which can be quite unusual at a local NSRRA race.

The race HQ is at the cricket club which makes such a lovely safe location for you to attend with your family and as it’s a shorter race but lapping twice your family can offer support and see you start, lap and finish without having to wait around getting bored. An advantage to those with impatient young children.

Even though my favourite races are normally half marathons this is up there with Potters Arf as an amazing local race which is very well organised.
