“The friendliest ultra”
Since last year’s utter shitshow of a run I decided to give it another bash. I’m glad I did. Many improvements in this young race - 3rd year running and just as lovely. Someone may want to remind the officious cow in the Paris marathon backpack that this is renowned as being super friendly and making a mistake to find the back of the queue to sign your waiver is quite hard when everyone is stood around chatting and being y’know, FRIENDLY!
Anyway. Rant over. Perhaps the queues to sign up and get numbers could be better organised to prevent such officiousness from those unaware of the need to be friendly for this race.
Markers this time were superb, check points were, as always, en pointe. I hugely enjoyed this year more than last! The medal and tee were as ever perfect, which is unbelievable for a 30 quid early bird. Kudos to Nathan and Tori for the improvements and continuing this super ultra x
