My first 2 lap race running through and around the business park of Crewe. Registration and parking very easy with helpful marshall's everywhere. No queues for toilets which is always a good thing. Start of the race was close by the race hq and parking area. 

We started 3 minutes early so the late comers had a bit of catching up to do. Think we should have waited really.

The route wasn't pretty but was pretty flat with a nice twist and turning section through some woods which provided some nice shade as it was particularly hot today.

No medals at the finish with this race, my first without one. What we got was a drinking jar with screw lid that was engraved. Nice memento actually. We were given this before the start for obvious reasons. Crossing the line was a welcome bottle of drink and a banana.

As this was a local race for me it was nice to see familiar faces.
