This was my first time running a large race in the centre of London. I received a community space so it was very good value for money. It was cold and wet before the race and whilst this cleared up during the race, the wind made it a bit challenging. It also caused the post-race festival activities to be cancelled which was a shame but safety must come first. I really enjoyed running the race, the highlight for me was running over Tower Bridge. In places there was lots of crowd support and in other places it was a bit quiet. I really liked the medal, very unique. Finishers t-shirt was just ok. Marshalling was very good but the one negative was the starting waves. There had been issues and there were plenty of people that had been allocated the wrong wave for their target time. Also the pacers were in different waves to the runners that had selected those target times. This needs improving next year as it made the first 5K far more congested than it should have been. Other than that I really enjoyed it. CHECK OUT MY VIDEO OF THE EVENT ON YOUTUBE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF: https://youtu.be/JhNFUHIvuiI
