This is marketed as a Big City warm up race for the London Marathon Registration was easy & I had a £10 Community entry so really good value, but full price I can’t recall. If you live outside London you need to study the final instructions & work out what wave you’re & where you’re bag drop is in advance & then plan your journey. Trains into London on a Sunday made it tight I arrived at London Bridge Tube station 08:09 & had a bad drop closing at 08:20 it was a stressful flap (they really should start the race 1/2 hour later) Once on the start line it was all well organised & an easy route to follow For me the atmosphere didn’t do it. I have run the London Marathon & this route used a lot of the same route in Reverse including Tower Bridge. Having experienced London Marathon day Tower Bridge, this was nothing like it, didn’t compare & I was disappointed. However if you have not done the marathon & had this bar set high you’ll probably love it. The weather was bad this year strong winds & rain so this may have contributed to lack of crowds & atmosphere & also lots of signage & stuff on the route was apparently dialled back for safety Finish at Curry Sark was good, Medal was decent & goody bag was good. There was meant to be a whole race village at the end with music & a mile race it was all cancelled due to strong winds. They did however post out medals to Mile entrants
