A relatively local race for me, a group of us from work decided to sign up. Registration was painless and my race pack arrvied about a week before the race. On the day, it started on time which is always good when it is a bit chilly. There were time starting pens helping to alleviate congestion at the start but it was still wuite difficult to find space for the first couple of kms. There is one hill in what is otherwise a relatively flat race. The course goes through parks and the town centre and I really enjoyed both. The parks were very picturesque with a little less local support and the town centre had loads of local support which was lovely. The finish line alllowed for a good speint finish where you were handed water, banana and a goody bag. There was space to walk after you went over the finish line, which I always appreciate so that you don’t sieze up too much. Overall a really nice race that i would definately look to do again.
