Had a great time running this well organised half marathon. Race packs were sent out on the post a couple of weeks before the day along with your baggage tag which meant you could get everything ready before arriving on the day. I arrived in Paddock Wood on the day and there were signs from the train station pointing towards race HQ which was a nice touch. No queue whatsoever at the bag drop - also had fun meeting other visorclub members before the race. For a small race they had a great team of pacers ranging between times which meant there was plenty of times to choose from if you had a specific goal in mind. No trouble at the start at all and was across the start line just after two minutes of the race starting. Whilst the course might not be the most scenic it is almost all flat so great for chasing a PB - biggest "hill" is just after 1 mile after which there are no more bar a few bridge crossing which are slightly up hill. Marshals were great and not once was it unclear on where to go. Local support was more then I was expecting which was nice and aid stations we're nicely spaced out however I don't think I'll ever master the technique of drinking out of plastic cups whilst running. There was also a couple of sponge stations if you wanted to cool yourself down. Great crowd support leading up to the finish and there was an announcer calling out peoples names as they finished which is always nice to hear. Bottled water was given out along with your medal - medal was awesome! Overall a fantastic half marathon and well worth doing running.
