Cyprus marathon is held in Paphos ,which is a lovely plce to be ! Registration is near the ancient fort and was pain free .. event bag (which you have to ise for bag drop ) a visor and standard advertising inside . The marathon starts at Aphrodites rock at 7.30am .. there is free bus transfer from paphos bus station . The start . Nice to be next to Aphodites Rock . Down side . Only about 10 portaloos . I didnt go near them but rhe girls said theu were awful . Race starts with about 3k of incine , flattens out for a bit then for rest of race its bumpier that id expected .. nothing too terrible, around 900ft of elevation overall . Event says roads will be closed for race . This isnt strictly true as most if the time trucks and cars were over taking us . As for the views its mainly along coast so good sea views . There is one dreadfull section , an out and back to the airport . Just awful Finish is nice drop down to harbour and run towards the caslte and here is where you get the only real bit if support . Good medal amd free beer at the end ! The locals dont seem to have any interest in this event so if tou are lookinh for an event supported all along the course then this isnt it 👍
