← Newport Half Marathon
A very soggy and enjoyable half marathon. Loads of parking in the numerous multistory carparks. Great bag drop and warm up space in Newport Centre (long loo queues though and also no obvious loos near the start of the race). The race itself was very well marshalled and even though it was wet and windy, the crowd support was pretty good. Well stocked water points every 3 miles or so. The course is pretty flat with a few short climbs. The bit around Caerleon was picturesque, but the rest isn't the most beautiful, as tends to be the case for city centre races. Massive medal, very nice technical t-shirt and decent snacks at the end. I really enjoyed the race. I was about 30 seconds off a PB which was pretty good given that the course wasn't totally flat. I'll definitely do this one again!
