I entered this at the last minute as the half I was due to run a week before was cancelled due to the weather. Registration was easy and getting to the event was straightforward and easy to park. I had to collect my number due to me entering late and ended up in wave 5 - I assume this was because I was last minute as I wasn't asked a time for finishing. Unfortunately this meant the closest pacer to me was 2h30 and I was hoping for under 2 hours. I spent most of the race over taking people which was fine, but there were a few pinch points where I had to slow down - I'm sure this wouldn't have been a problem if I had entered earlier and was in the correct wave. I course comes back on itself quite a lot and was nice to see other runners. I enjoyed trying to reel the pacers in and managed to catch the 2 hour pacer by mile 12 so I knew I was well within my target. Would I do it again? Probably. It's a good event, well organised and if this is your first half marathon you'll really enjoy it as it's very friendly.
