I received my race number & information in the post in good time of race day, however, i had several friends who did not. They reassure me they signed up for the race in plenty of time, but when they didnt receive theirs in the post, were advised to collect their race number on race day. The queues on the day were so long, many runners were still queing for their bibs when the race had started. This did not affect me directly, but it did some of my running companions. The actual race itself was brilliant. It was well marshalled, lots of crowd support, plenty of water stations along the route (especially as it was a hit day), it was a flat course but was very busy in some areas. Despite this, i throughly enjoyed my experience & finished with a pb. I will still be entering this race next year. The organisers have reasured runners that they will endeavor to prevent a repeat of the pre-race shambles with the running bibs.
