This was my second time runninrg this race, and is still one of my favourites. I do have real concerns about the safety of the start of the race. As you run down the hill, runners come to a full stop as they had barriers across two lanes (despite being shut to traffic). Runners were crashing into eachother and given the slippery conditions it was rather dangerous. I quite enjoy that the route takes you into the countryside. While support is a bit more sparse there, it is still brilliant. The marshalls were incredibly supportive despite the rain. The medal and shirt as ever were great and a real plus of the race. However the race organisers really need to sort out the start. Start zone was poorly marked, resulting in runners being in the wrong zones. Pacers seemed to be all over the place and it made it rather chaotic. The first half mile with the cut off downhill is dangerous and something that needs to be resolved by the organisers.
