← Great Stirling Castle Run

Great Run events never disappoint, the organising team know what they are doing, there’s always a great atmosphere and the events alway live up to expectations. A new event on the calendar are always risky, often they don’t do as well as firm favourites. The event site for was fantastic, relatively central to Stirling, under the shadow of Stirling Castle and the route was on some fantastic mixed terrain. As this was a new event, it was low(ish) cost at £23 however only included a medal and no t-shirt. Atmosphere around the venue was great, alongside was the Great Stirling Cross Country event which is always a great event after you finish running. Starting in Kings Park, the first 2km provided a nice warm up around Stirling Golf Course before crossing Kings Road and hitting the first assent of Stirling Castle Hill. Winding round castle hill the Canons and Beheading Stone before heading back down over the hill and back towards the finish in Kings Park. https://autisticrunnerjohn.wordpress.com/2019/01/14/great-stirling-castle-run-2019/
