A well organised, close to Christmas, festive run. The route led us along the esplanade, turning left along the river, a small circuit of Apex Park and back along the esplanade past many surprised morning walkers. At the sharp end some great times were ran but it really is a race for all abilities. Although the race strung out early, all runners could feel they had someone to or compete against. After completing the race , we all returned to race hq where we collected the obligatory mince pie and a festive drinks bottle memento. Costa coffee could be bought to warm supporters on a mild December morning. A children's mile race was also organised and was very well supported.
