Originally set for earlier in the year, but due to bad wether (Heavy Snow) was cancelled to the autumn. The race itself was very good. Nice flat course for people wanting to try out an ultra distance run and fast for those more experienced ultra runners. The route itself is good and covers alot of the black country mainly along canal paths. This year it was run in a clockwise direction and next year 2019 I believe will be run anti clockwise. My preference if true would be to do it anti clockwise. A very long canal tunnel gave it something that was a bit different and a headtorch is essential. Expect to get your feet wet here if they are not allready. Logistics were very good. Easy registration and check points were well placed and had everything you could want for 30odd miles of running. Unfortunaly only negative for me was no T-shirt and the medal was quite basic for such event, but the bottle of beer was a nice touch.
