Stunning from start to finish. This was my final event for 2018 and I'm so glad I signed up. The start is on the quayside underneath Conwy Castle. You then cross the bridge and head up through the villages towards Llandudno and the Great Orme. The first 3.5-4 miles are relatively flat but then you have a short incline before dropping down towards the pier at Llandudno. Then the fun really starts, uphill and more uphill but it's great! Watching the colours of all the other runners snake up the hills against the backdrop of the sea and cliffs is fantastic, then you get a nice downhill from mile 8ish to recover ready for the last few miles. This event has gone to the top of my favourite race list without question. The scenery is amazing and I much prefer a country/coastal route to city running. Everything about the race was great. Easy sign up, nice t-shirt and medal on finishing, easy parking with good directions on the map and Marshall's out early to point you where to go. Great support along the roads and bridge too. Will be back next year without question and if you don't think it's a PB course, I PB'd by just short of 5 minutes!!! Thanks Run Wales, this is an absolute gem.
