This is one of those races that will already be on the "To do" list for anyone with the ambition to run the world majors. Even if that's not your goal is a race worthwhile considering. When I ran this it was a day of constant drizzle, which eventually became a heavy downpour. Sounds miserable for 42km doesn't it? Well, the support of the locals was incredible despite the conditions, and I'd have to say it was better supported than the London Marathon. The organisation is good, it didn't feel overcrowded at any point and it was a nice way to see the city, one mile at a time.
