← The Running Festival at Goodwood

There was good contact from the organisers beforehand, I changed from the HM to the 10k, it was simple and quick. The bag drop was fairly quick. There's a reasonable amount of toilets at the venue, so not too many queues. There were a few decent stalls at the site, though not many food ones. This was my only issue - £7 for a coffee and a (very poor) hot chocolate is ridiculous - hope they get some different food/drink stalls next time. It's quite a strange start - about 15 minutes before the race started everyone walked halfway around the track to the start point. This was ok for warming up and there was a great atmosphere. There was a lot of room on the track and it was easy to stay by your pacer. The 10k was 2.5 laps, I though it might be a bit boring but the scenery was actually quite nice. Not shore if I'd want to do the HM option though. The weather was pretty wet and windy with some hail, but there was at least some cover for the spectators. Passing the finish point was great as there was great support here (and also from the marshals on the course). Everything was smooth and well organised at the finish. There was a small goody bag, some drinks and snacks, and a great medal and T shirt. The car park (for entry and exit) was a bit busy but nothing too drastic. All in all, an excellent race, well organised. Not sure if I'll be free to do next year (in July next time), but would recommend it.
