← MBNA Chester Marathon & MBNA Chester Metric Marathon
This was my first time doing Chester Marathon. I heard many good things about the marathon and was feeling excited about the race. The organization was good. There were plenty of toilets at the event village. I saw that the course is mostly flat with a few gradual climbs. I did not think this course was flat! I thought it was quite undulating and there were at least 2 hills at mile 24, one of them was a killer hill. The route is really nice and scenic which goes through the villages. I thought there wasn't much crowd support and parts of the route was lacking crowd support. The goody bag is awesome, you get lots of stuff especially for the price as it's cheaper than other marathons. You also get a nice long sleeve t-shirt and the medal is nice.
