This is only my second Mile event, the first being the City of London Mile in 2016 which is sadly no more. Still off the back of the buzz of London Marathon the previous month I was excited to be entering this event and run near Buckingham Palace again. I joined the Our Parks group who were running in one of the Family Waves. We were very lucky to get an opportunity to have our photo taken with Sir Mo Farah before hand (sadly didn't get to race him). As we had spectators with us I didn't have to use the bag drop facilities. Entry into the start pens was pretty straight forward. It was a particularly hot day so fast times were guaranteed. I was happy to PB two years into my running. The course is essentially around the edge of St James' Park so easy to navigate. Really hefty piece of race bling with a lovely design both sides. Would certainly run it again.
