Easy online registration and bib number through the post. The car parks, start area and finish area are all in different locations due to the layout of the course and the natural landscape. But buses were on hand to transit you between the car parks and start area. Then from the finish area back to your car park. The start was delayed by about 15/20 minutes due to people turning up late but the delays were relayed to the runners waiting early and very clearly. About 1100 runners started the race but it didn’t feel too crowded. The race was mainly on solid gravel tracks through woodland and around the lake. Due to the nature of the course there was little support on the course apart from the marshals, water stops and mountain support. Water stops had water in a can! Very odd! and at some there was also isotonic drinks in cardboard cups. At the finish were was no official medal due to a problem with getting them off the shopping boat. But the organisers did provide a temporary medal with the promise that the official medals will be posted out to finishers. Good quality tech tees, goodie bag, water and bananas were given out at the finish. Official results and free photos were available online within a few days after the race. A good event with lovely scenery, I’d do it again. Well organised with the logistics of getting to the start line from the car parks and away from the finish after.
