Entered this race with a number of people. Ran alone. Many peeved at the lack of communication leading up to the race - register then absolutely nothing. Spoke to a few at the event and they’d said the same thing. I googled the start time and rocked up before 11 - turned out it was the right time. Army base run, sand dunes were pretty if you’re into the sand thing. I’m more of a trail runner with mud and hate sand so I didn’t like that bit but I guess if I was ok with it, it would have been nice. Run along a beach at one point, through fields/dunes etc. Quite interesting. Marshalls were army peeps, very nice, pleasant and friendly. Course well marked. Distance fell short of 500m unfortunately, due to army training exercises. Possibly could have topped this up with a run around the rugby field? Got a wristband and a bottle of water at the end, not much, but proceeds went to charity so allgood. Doesn’t have the organisation of a big race - more like a local jog around which is pretty much what it was. Nice run though, pity about the poor communication leading up to race day.
