The pre and post race info for this were good with no issues. Number pickup ran well with plenty of people about so no queues. You required your number but no big board to look it up quickly. The real issue with this race during 2018 was the course and marshaling. For the course it was not clear when you were in a completely closed road, partially closed road or you would be mixing with traffic. In the last 2k you rejoined the road that was closed on the way out, but found cars coming towards me! There were also issues with the course being marked in that there were no signage to post where you would be going, you just had to follow person or guess. Well done to the spectators/lead bike who saw the problem and reacted. Drinks were at 5k and in plastic cups. No idea if they coped or not with numbers but there were only 3 or 4 people there! Post race was water / banana and a jaffa cake. If they resolve the course signage /marshaling then it would be a great local race.
