My second Half Marathon and a great course. Only downside of the route was that being a two lap along the seafront, approx 8 miles was running into the wind! It was tough going! Some up/down hills due to using the seafront and promenade but I was expecting this as have completed Clacton Parkrun a few times. Well organised and very well supported by locals, especially at the finish area. Plenty of water supplied plus coke, jaffa cakes and jelly babies on the final lap. The marshals were encouraging and helpful plus the course was well marked. As it got later in the day, the seafront did get a bit busier and some families were oblivious to the runners. If you need to use the toilet before the start, join the queue early & bring loo roll! Only a couple of public cubicles were available. Great medal, my first that wasn't round! Water, sweets and bananas provided at the finish.
