← Turpin Challenge

I have done a few See York Run York events now, the fact I have done a few says it all... They are always quite small events, which leads them to be friendly and well organised. The Turpin Challenge was a lap of 4.3 miles, and you could run as few or as many as you liked within a 6 hour time limit. The event took place on the Knaivesmire in York, (in front of the racecourse). The Council unfortunately forgot to inform the organisers that the Caravan Club were pitching up for the weekend - right by the finish line... But plan B was brought into action and the route altered - no problem! What I liked about this event is that there was no pressure to run a certain distance. If you felt good, do another lap... If you tired and finished, stop and eat cake... Homemade cakes at the finish were very welcome, as was chocolate in the goody bag - and the medal!!!! See York Run York have ALWAYS produced great medals! Good value for money, great medals, friendly, fantastic marshals, and free cake. What's not to like...?!
