← Run Reigate Half Marathon,10K,5K & Kids
This was my first time doing this race and I probably should have done more research into the route. It is undulating and the last 2 miles or so are a series of hills, so you need to know that in advance and save some energy or it’s a bit demoralising. I’m in the middle of marathon training so was running this on tired legs anyway, and I struggled. The route doesn’t go through a main high street, so support was mainly the marshals and some friendly locals who came out onto their driveways. It doesn’t go through a main high street, so don’t expect lots of people until the last 500 metres. The race village was great, lots of food outlets, entertainment, Susie Chan doing the commentary, a live band etc. I think that side of it was superb, but the route wasn’t for me.
