If you go to the Pasta Party on Sat you get fed, entertainment on stage & the Great North City Games are right there, free & you see some elite athletics tha would normally cost a fair few Quid. The start is massive, if you’re near the back expect up to an hour to cross the start line. Once you get going is great after 1 Mile you’ve got tunnels for the infamous OGGY OGGY OGGY, OI OI OI chanting which is fun. 2 miles is Tyne Bridge but after that it’s all a bit dull & dual carriageway The support though is fantastic loads of locals out Aid stations are good water & sis gels this year (previous years it’s been energy drinks, changes as the sponsors change over time) Great medal & t shirt with 2 protein bars in the good bag.
