← Maidenhead Half Marathon

My first time at Maidenhead half marathon and in my first pacing role for Xempo UK.

I paced the 2 hour category. I came in at just over 1:59 and had a really enjoyable run with a good bunch of people.

Car Park was easy to find and a 2 min walk from the race village.

I cant comment on registration really as mine was all done through Xempo UK. However, everything seemed to go smoothly and the race got under way bang on schedule.

The course was nice, a mix of town centre and heading out towards Cookham for a little bit of country running.

It was a nice flat course with excellent PB potential for anyone that wanted to smash theirs. The only hindrance was the hot weather but I enjoy running in the sun and a good group stuck with me and Andy the other 2 hour pacer for a good portion of the race.

Decent local support. The only negative I’d have if I paid for the race is the quality of the feed stations. But that was a minor for what was overall a decent half marathon.

if I’m not back next year as a pacer then i’ll Definitely come back to have a crack at a PB.
