I wasn't very prepared for this race. Arrived super early. Well organised (if you don't include the lack of prerace email ) I'm usually comforted as the athletes arrive but today I quickly became aware that it looked like a non novice event. I was defniitely going to be in the last 5%. Beautiful swim. Sloggish bike route and busy at the start. The run was hell. Soft sand for 20% of it. Quite a different event.
