It wasn’t the perfect weather conditions to complete this ride in, if your a harder British Bike rider then it’s just a normal ride battling out the weather elements!
This time I was in an early wave, must quieter and less congested, fast paced making the drafting quite fun and plenty of camaraderie between cyclist!
Big Kudos to the Marshals today standing in the worst weather for 2 months, the Newlands corner hub was literally blowing a gale!
Organistion of this event is exceptional.
Plenty of water stations, Toilets, hubs with mechanical help, luckily for so many riders who had punctures today!
Such a shame the logistics of getting to start early hours is a bit of a nightmare, a Hotel booking is advisable.
Pre registration is good and easy with plenty of things to look and buy.
Highly recommended if your lucky to get a place!
