Crickey, this was a hot evening to do an event but it made it all the more satisfying after a weekend of great football!

The event HQ was located in a field at Brickledon's Farm, a place heralded for its free range eggs!

Registration was a simple process of collect your number and "go- faster" pins. There was a baggage area but with cars being parked a mere few metres away, there was no need to make use of this facility. Great to see Steve, the massage guy, making a collection for a local hospice too.

The course took in the stunning countryside of West Berkshire and the infamous Roman Walls at Silchester. There were three water stations along the course which was well marked with kilometer markers and arrows. The terrain was a mixture of footpaths, fields and road sections. This made for a variable run which was undulating at times with a sharp up and downhill at the end. A challenging course, especially given the heat!

The welcome back at the farm was uplifting; music, clapping and cheering, Peter Cook on photography, a great feed station and a cracking medal with iTAB insert.

Another great one from MST and I hope to see it grow next year! Thank you to all the marshals for giving up their time to help and Brickledon's Farm for hosting. See you in 2019.

VALE!
