Collecting the race number before the race was nice and straight forward. A lot of runners gathered around the rangers hut before the race which gave myself, a 1st time runner of the event, a chance to have a chat to a few local runners.

As mentioned in other reviews, the majority of the run inside the park is on narrow paths, and due to the number of participants, the start area was quite crowded but once the race got going, I didnt find overcrowdedness to be a problem once we set off, and found there was plenty of areas to overtake if there was any issues.

The course was nice and flat as a majority, and I particually liked the mixture of terrains included in the race. I loved the setting of the park, it made for a very enjoyable run.

The race goes out of the park and onto streets for a part of each lap. Marshalls were on hand to control traffic, and I thought that whole section was managed brilliantly. A great turn out from locals both inside and outside of the park for support and the encouragement from the marshalls along the route was a great help too.

It was overall a great event overall, one I'd highly recommend to others and I'm looking forward to running it again next year.
