← Ishigaki Triathlon
Having done the original edition of this race a few times I was actually quite dissapointed by the newest format. The main negative was the new run course which was literally a W, either a serious downhill or an uphill, and a fair distance away from town. Really missed the older flattish course that went through the center of town and allowed for larger crowds of supporters to gather throughout the entire way. Ishigaki went from being my no.1 or no.2 race in Japan to way down the priority list of races and given the overall cost of getting there I think I certainly won't be doing this race every year anymore.
Also no more ITU cup so don't get to watch the pro race.
