signed up to Liverpool for 2 reasons .. firstly it’s my mums home city and secondly it’s part of rock and roll series ...

bag drop off good , as was t-shirt pick up good race village . 

The half starred at 9 amd it was very busy .. so much so that the marathon had a 10 minute delay to the start .

lots of music /banter from dj at start made for a good atmosphere.. then we were off .. now it was a hot day and the 10oclock start only added to that..

off we went past Beatles statues , liver building Chinatown .. up around Everton F.C. , through Liverpool F.C. .. through some parks .. penny lane past the cavern club then a flat 4 miles along the Mersey to the finish .. I say flat as the rest of the course can be described as undulating with one bugger of a hill

good support at finish , great medal as is the norm from rock and roll series , live music on stage and a free beer .. all in all a good day out !
