← Marathon Prep, Dorney Lake

In previous years I have used the Kingston Breakfast run as a 20 mile marathon warm-up. This year it wasn’t on so I was looking for an alternative and found this event online. It was very relaxed, just turned up grabbed a race pack, dump my bag and run 5 x 4m loops around the lake. There was also a 16 mile 4 loop option too. 

I was pleasantly surprised that after crossing the finish line I was handed a very generous goodie bag and finishers medal, which given the price for the event was a complete bargain.

I’d recommend it for anyone training for a spring marathon and don’t mind running in loops.
