I'm a Leeds lad so this really is as local as it gets for me.

My 3rd time doing Leeds Half Marathon and it gets better every year. I can't recommend it highly enough.

What you get is a brilliantly organised race, loads of crowd support along the course & a great pre & post race atmosphere.

The course itself has a nice city centre start & finish. There are a few hills to tackle between 1-6 miles but from mile 7 there are some down & flat sections where you can really stretch your legs. 

Organisers RUN FOR ALL really do look after runners. Regular feed stations, beautiful medal, generous goody bag & I absolutely love the finisher's shirt. Massage, medal engraving & alcohol free lager (all free of charge) really does give great value for money.

Special mention to the people of Leeds for their amazing support along the route. Yorkshire folk were so kind, handing out jelly babies, water & other treats to keep runners going.

This is a race I will always do. Perfect for novices aiming to up the distance & experienced runners too.
