← Cannon Hall Dash

Very late decision to enter this race having done a marathon 2 days earlier.

I have done IGUN events before so knew what to expect.

What you get for your money is a good, honest race, nice bling, chocolate, beer and cake.

Race numbers were collection only.

Baggage deposit/collection was easy.

The race had 5 or 10mile options, consisting of 2.5 mile laps.

I did the 10 mile race.

There was a couple of hills to tackle on each lap.

Some of the terrain was quite tough.

Nature of the course meant local support was minimal but there was plenty of encouragement from enthusiastic marshals.

There was an aid station containing cupped water, cake etc at the end of each lap.

Finshers recieved solid medal, bottle of beer and a large bar of chocolate.

The traditional home baked cakes are always something to look forward to.

In summary -

IGUN races are the friendliest races out there.

Todays race was challenging but great fun.
