This was my 7th ultra , I signed up on recommendation from friends on twitter . 

Firstly the race is held in a lovely location , start is at local Yaght club , registratio was a breeze , good race briefing then we were off .. 3 to 4 miles of dead flat running then the hills hit .. and my word were there hills ! The plus side is that when you get to top of hills the views are stunning ! All the hard work is worth will .. luckily there was a huge presence from twitter so was never far away from a friendly face to run / walk and chat with ... aid stations were superb as were volunteers 

due to what I would imagine was local youths ripping down tape markers , navigation was a little harder than expected but that’s not race organisers fault ! 

The sun shone and the heat fuse making an already tough track tougher but getting to the finish cheered on by a great crowd made it all wothwhile . 

Terrific medal and t-shirt terrific race , I’ll be back but this time I’ll train for the hills !
