← Liverpool Spring 10k/5k

Sign up process was really easy and bib and info pack arrived in plenty of time. The race organisers even send out safety pins which I think is a nice touch!

My hubby had previously done the race when it was 2 laps of Sefton park (whilst I spectated) so it was nice being different starting in the city centre! Only downside with the route was not many spectators on route although it wasn't an issue with it being a 10k. Lovely back drop of the cathedral to start was lovely and the route showcased someovely architectural buildings so for non locals it was a lovely way to show off what Liverpool has to offer.

It was a very sunny 22 degrees (not a lot the organisers can do about that) so I think some people may be sporting some interesting tan lines later.

The course was slightly more undulating than I expected but it felt more so because of the heat.

A lot more spectators around the finish line and then nicely organised lines for tshirt collection. Great that your bib said your size so no worries about running out of sizes.

The medal is fab, a big glittery trophy definitely socres points in the bling stakes!

Overall a really friendly event and only wish I could have stayed on to enjoy the bands amd sunshine in the park!
