← Leicester's Big 10K

There is limited parking in the park, but the easiest way is to park in either John Lewis or Space Centre car parks (the latter is the cheaper one) and then walk to the start. As it's about a mile it can act as a gentle warm-up anyway.

This year the course was different to previous years I've done it which I think might be due to recent construction work. The course is relatively flat, with the up-hill bits not really being noticeable. Only things to be weary of is that there are some steps down to the canal path (they're wide steps), and there's one potential bottleneck at an archway - for me there were few enough runners around to make it an issue, but it's possible it could be if you're in a pack.

This race has definite PB potential, and at the end you get a big chunky medal, a bottle of water, and a banana.
