That was the most brutal race I have ever done and when they ran out of water at mile 19 I decided it was all about finishing. I am glad I proved to myself I can run for nearly 5hours but that race was insane in that heat. The crowd were amazing! The amount of money raised was incredible and it is for sure the best Marathon but in that heat it was more like a scene from a disaster movie at the finish instead of joy and celebration. In fairness they did everything they could with the temps, running out of water was no ones fault, the emergancy services and marshalls were excellent! I hope to be back but hopefully when its not so damn hot!
