This was a last minute addition to my racing calender courtesy of alzheimers society as part of my training for the 2016 london marathon.

I have to say overall this event was excellent. The marshals were enthusiastic and helpful. There was plenty of toilet facilities (which can sometimes be an issue) and a good range of food services offered. Baggage handling was easy to use and we'll organised. Only downside was charity village was poorly attended and shop was pretty basic.

The race itself was as epic as the course itself. We were very lucky and although quite foggy in the morning just as we were lining up to start the sun broke through and left clear blue skies.

The drink stations were often and again well marshalled (would have like a gel station).

The crowds were as always amazing and made me really get excited for london.

The only thing I would like to add is that it would have been useful to have a few more pacers out there but having the time at every mile maker helped.

Overall would definitely do this event again and would recommend it to anyone
