I arrived at Stafford Half Marathon with a good idea what to expect after taking part last year. This race should have happened a month or 2 ago but heavy snow prevented that. It was worth the wait.

What you get is a good honest & well organised event. Runners are well looked after with several feed stations on the course stocked with water, jelly babies & other goodies.

Baggage store was secure and well organised. Very smooth. Runners had the opportunity to collect their competitor's shirt prior to the start.

The course itself has a few hills but nothing to worry about.There are also a few downhill sections to compensate & this makes for a fast course with PB potential. It's not the most picturesque Half Marathon in all honesty, route goes around the houses at times but I enjoyed it.

Marshal's & volunteers were 1st class, public support was excellent.

Finishers were rewarded with bananas, water along with a solid medal & great quality tech shirt.

In summary: This is a race I'd highly recommend.
